What happens when an award winning chef, a stellar restaurant operator and a craft cocktail genius get together and open a restaurant?  Magic....that's what.   Driftwood opened in March 2018 and within weeks it took off like a rocket, garnering 5 star reviews all over the 'net. And here's why...

Chef Jimmy Everett's extensive background in five-star restaurants worldwide (including Chef du Cuisine at Valentino Cucina Italiana in Ft. Lauderdale) earned him a Starchefs Rising Star Award in 2016.  Although he's classically trained, barbecuing and smoking is his passion.  While Jimmy is the heartbeat in the kitchen, wife Ilia Gonzalez Colon is the brains in the front of the house.  She, too, is a classically trained chef who managed restaurants all over the world. Her approach to outstanding customer service is evident from the moment you walk in the door. 

Chef Jimmy takes comfort food and gives it a spin in a way that only a chef who's an artist can do. The result of his eclectic culinary background is a diverse menu that's full of passion. You'll find smoked deviled eggs like you've never seen before, house made local fish dip, handcut spaghetti, local swordfish and fresh fish daily, chicken 'n' dumplings, an unbelievable smoked Phicanha Steak - and that's just the tip of the iceberg.  Desserts are showstoppers. Think warm cornbread with homemade buttermilk ice cream and berries....or a housemade ice cream sandwich!

From the bar, Driftwood offers a hand selected, moderately priced wine list.  But it's the cocktails that'll blow your mind. There's a list of spirits a mile long and craft cocktails so expertly prepared, that watching your bartender is almost as much fun as drinking the delicious concoction.  We think local fish ceviche pairs nicely with a Pineapple Mai Tai.  Don't you?
